London Economics International LLC (“LEI”) is pleased to announce that Managing Director Julia Frayer has been elected as President of Northeast Energy and Commerce Association (”NECA”), one of the oldest non-profit trade associations focused on energy issues in New England.
Ms. Frayer previously served on the Executive Committee of NECA, in charge of Programming, and before that as co-chair of the Power Markets Committee. In addition to taking on this senior leadership role for NECA, Julia will also continue in her role as Managing Director of LEI, and carry on providing LEI clients with expert market analysis and strategic advice on electricity industry issues.
Representing 1,250 members, NECA represents a diverse group of entities, including electric and gas utilities, developers and owner/operators of competitive power projects, representatives of electricity consumers, power marketers and traders, fuel and equipment suppliers, and various service providers to the energy industry, including law firms, environmental engineering and economic consulting firms. The association supports members in sharing knowledge, building relationships, and collaborating on “opportunities and challenges created by evolving markets, technological innovation, public policies, and climate change.”[1]
“I am looking forward to stepping into this role and working with industry leaders and continue on the effort of past presidents of NECA to build a vibrant energy-focused community,” Ms. Frayer stated. “I know we will be successful as I will be joined by seasoned members of the Executive Committee, and Marla Simon, who has been an executive director of NECA for many years.”
